Moving to the cloud is a journey that, for most, happens over time because of business or budget considerations. This is why we're offering unique savings to help customers with Windows Server accelerate their journey to the hybrid cloud.
The Azure Hybrid Use Benefit lets those using Windows Server with Software Assurance bring their on-premises licenses to Azure. Rather than paying the full price for new Windows Server virtual machines in Azure, you only pay for the base compute rate*. For each Windows Server 2 processor license with Software Assurance, customers may run two virtual machines with up to 8 cores each, or one virtual machine with up to 16 cores, at the lower price.
Azure's integrated tools, unified services, and proven solutions help you build enterprise, mobile, web, and Internet of Things (IoT) apps faster, for virtually any platform or device. Any developer can be productive on Azure, not just those with DevOps skills or Windows expertise, because Azure supports the broadest selection of devices, operating systems, databases, languages, frameworks, and tools. Don't want to manage virtual infrastructure? You don't have to on Azure. By contrast, AWS puts the burden of integrating different services on you.
Azure lets you easily build hybrid applications that leverage resources in your datacenter, at service providers, and within Azure itself-all without the need for complex workarounds and tradeoffs. You can also use a wider set of hybrid connections including virtual private networks (VPNs), content delivery networks (CDNs), caching, ExpressRoute connections to ensure performance and ease of use. Microsoft Azure Stack is a new hybrid cloud platform product that enables your organization to deliver Azure services from your own datacenter to help you achieve more.
Finally, Azure runs on a growing global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters across 19 regions and is the first multinational cloud service provider in mainland China.
